We’re missing Vietnam more as every day passes, but one thing that can temper our sadness is a cup of authentic, delicious Vietnamese Coffee.

This is one coffee shop that we simply cannot recommend enough. Bayon Coffee Shop and Pastry School is an enterprise, set up to help young disadvantaged Cambodian women.

With a small troupe of enthusiastic performers, the show began and we were eager to see what would unfold!

We only stopped here to try an ice kachang, a local dish. It was… weird.

The gift shop here has some quirky gifts and knick knacks, I left armed with a cute T. Rex pin and an iron on patch which I can’t bring myself to use!

Despite the weather hovering around 28 degrees, there were plenty of decorations about and just enough tinsel to keep us feeling festive.

We stayed at the chilled out Mushroom Point, sleeping in a tiny hut on the beach.

Our other two nights were spent in a slightly scummy guesthouse by the river. We have to admit, the hallway looked nicer than our room! I'd tell you the name but there was no sign and we never managed to figure it out!

We hopped on the circle line and got off at Haw Par Villa. Let the nightmares begin.

Google told us that it’s apparently the oldest post box in Penang. The ‘VR’ insignia on the front told us it was from Queen Victoria’s reign. That’s one old postbox

Seoul in February is freezing. We were definitely not prepared for the weather, having arrived from humid Kuala Lumpur!
